The Full Redemption

( From a Radio sermon of Bro. Julius Adewumi)

"And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten,

the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm,

my great army which I sent among you". (Joel 2:25).

This message is about full redemption. Christ is going to give back to us the things whch were lost in the garden of Eden. What did we lose in the garden? We know in Gen.3, Adam and Eve fell according to the story. From thence sin, sickness, and death came upon the human race. Let's see the judgement placed upon them. (Gen.3:17). "Because thou hast hearken unto the voice of thy wife and has eaten of the tree .... cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow thou shall eat of it all the days of thy life;" (this talks of poverty). Verse 18: "Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread;" (that talks of struggle and hardship); "till thou return unto the ground; for dust thou art and unto dust shall thou return." (This talks of physical death).

That was the punishment put upon the human race from Adam. But apostle Paul said in Romans (Rom.5:12-19) that through one man, sin came into the world, and death through sin, now through another man (Jesus), eternal life has come into the world.

Jesus Christ has brought human being back into fellowship with God, and has also made available the provision that we don't have to die anymore. That is why the Lord Jesus Christ had the boldness to say in John 8:51, that "verily, verily, I say unto you, if a man keep my saying, he shall never see death!" We know they were talking of physical death because the Jews argued with him on that statement. When Christ said "It is finished" on the cross, our redemption is completed; we also have to believe that he abolished death - to him that believeth. The just shall live by faith.

Christ said "I am the ressurection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?." (Jn.11:25-26). We are actually presenting Jesus in his fulness to you. When he came, he said he has power not only to ressurect anybody, but also to keep anyman alive. But it has to be by faith. We came into Christ by believing and after we are saved, we have to believe that He has healed our body: "by whose stripes ye were healed". Now we also have to resist the devil when it comes to "death". Somebody said "Maybe it is not the will of the Lord?" I want to give a testimony. This has to do with whether something, like raising the dead, is in the will of the Lord or not.

Remember in the Lord's prayer, the Lord Jesus taught us to always pray that "thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." The will of the Lord has been written down here in the scriptures. It is not being done on earth yet, by demons and by men. But Christ said we should continue to pray "thy will be done". The will of the Lord for mankind is not for us to die. What we read in Genesis 3 was punishment for sin. I have to emphasize that. God did not will for man to put away this body called the "tabernacle of flesh". That is why God has given us at least 2 or 3 witnesses in the bible for human being to know that he did not plan death for mankind.

Enoch, the seventh from Adam, disappeared without seeing physical death. He is somewhere now in the universe still wearing that same body - glorified. It means God has a better plan for mankind not to die. We also know about Elijah the prophet. He also went into a chariot of fire (2Kgs.2). He disappeared from this planet without seeing death. He is somewhere right now in the universe, wearing that same body - glorified.

Many bible scholars believe that if mankind is to be immortal, in this physical universe, God probably plans to allow mankind to populate the other planets either in this solar system or even in our own galaxy (if not more). At least for now, the astronomers are almost certain that the other planets in this solar system are not populated by physical beings, as far as they can see. However, we know that Enoch is living somewhere. So there may be some other planets or solar systems or galaxies, somewhere which may have some other living beings or else, he may be living in the realm of the spirits in a transformed fleshly body. Christ said he has this power to keep us alive (even on this planet).

What about the question that "is it the Lord's will that someone should live and not die?" The will of the Lord has been written in this bible, but it is not being done. It is not being enforced. That is the work which Christ has come to put upon the earth. (Rev.12:1-2; Gen.1:16). "The moon and stars are to rule the night". We Christians have been elected not only to pray that the will of the Lord be done, but also to put into process the enforcing of the will of the Lord (spiritually). Satan and all the evil spirits are on this planet; they are the spirits which have been carrying on all the "anti-will" of God. God let them on for almost 6000 years now. But when Christ came and brought eternal life, he has brought unto us the power to "police" the spirit world, so to speak, in his words: "Behold I give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Lk.10:19). He wants us to exercise the power and the control over the devils which are causing those deaths. (That was the job of Adam in the first place. Gen.1:26). It means, we are to be as the "police" that should enforce the will of the Lord in the spirit world. Many people assume that Angels should enforce the will of the Lord. Angels have been around from the beginning but God did not give them the liberty to enforce things on this planet (especially on the individual level). Globally, certain angels limit the activities of Satan and the activities of some satanic cherubs. (e.g the watchers in Zechariah 1:8-10; Gabriel in Dan.11:1). We can say those are large scale control of world policies and not individual control of each demon to not cause sickness on the innocent. The Lord Jesus said "The father judgeth no man but has committed all judgement unto the son"; "And hath given him authority to execute judgement also, because he is the son of man". (Jn.5:22,27).

In fact the reason why God created Adam in the first place, is to rule on this planet. Satan and all the devils and demons were on this planet before Adam was created. God brought human being from the dust to dumbfound and bloodyfool Satan. Satan had to find a way to break the link between man and God in order for him to keep the control of this planet. And he did that.

God now came back in the seed of the woman, in Christ Jesus, and has brought this power back to mankind, to as many as will believe.

I have a testimony of a vision the Lord showed me by which I know that the will of the Lord is already written down in the scriptures, and that we christians simply have to come up to a spiritual level in order to enforce it. In this vision, I saw two men fighting. Suddenly one fell down dead. I went near the dead man trying to bring him back to life. I asked "why should he die?" Then the Holy Ghost spoke and said "Julius, he is not there, he is here!" This means the man is now in the spirit realm. Immediately I was in the spirit. The Holy Ghost took me into the spirit realm where the dead man was. Well, that is the key for raising the dead. Remember in Acts 9, there was a woman in Joppa by name of Dorcas whom apostle Peter raised back to life. Apostle Peter sent everyone out of the room and knelt down to pray. The Holy Ghost had to take Peter into the spirit realm for him to dialogue the woman's return to life.

(Continue this vision in "Shadow of Death destroyed". Christ sent the disciples out to heal the sick and raise the dead. Believe with all of your heart, and walk with the Lord, keeping his sayings. You can also please God like Enoch and disappear in the rapture without seeing death. The just shall live by faith. God bless you.)
