Where is your faith -11

I have been presenting messages in this series on the faith that will lead us into translation.

Faith for supernatural protection:

Our God is a supernatural God. He has supernatural protection for those who will trust and walk with him. Listen to what the Lord God said in the book of Isaiah chapter 54 verses 16 to 17.

"Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper".

That is the promise of God, my friend! God said, remember he created those destroyers that are called "terrorists". God created them! The weapons they make, God created them. "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn." Now, to whom is God giving these promises? Let's read on: "This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord."

Believe this promise of the Lord. It says, this is the heritage. That is, this is your inheritance in God when you are serving God. Now you say, it's only for the servants of God. That is very important. God defends the people that are serving him. The scripture in Psalm 91 says those that dwell in the secret place of the Most High are the people God will surely protect. When you are worshipping the Lord in the dead of night after you are born again, when you are travailing for God in prayer interceding for the saints, doing the warfare for the kingdom, then you are a servant of God. It says, "this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord." Believe this bible verse and then stand your ground trusting in the Almighty God. He shall not fail thee. He said, no weapon! By terrorists, or by individuals who make those weapons: God said, "I created the smith that make the weapons, and I created the terrorists that use the weapons, but I say unto you, the weapon of those terrorists shall not hurt you, if you will believe!" Just believe the promises of God for supernatural protection. The faith in this word of God is what gives supernatural protection that God promised.

Let me give you an example from the scripture by the Lord Jesus Christ himself. In Luke chapter 4, many people do not realize that the Lord Jesus used this kind of supernatural protection when he was ministering in Palestine, to demonstrate to us that this power is for us, and he will freely use it to protect any of his saints when situation arises. If he has not allowed persecution for his disciples as an evidence of their faithfulness to him, nothing could hurt those disciples. He used the story of Apostle John, who could not be killed by the Roman empire so that he had to be exiled to Patmos, to demonstrate this to us, so that we may have the faith.

Let's read Luke chapter 4 from verse 28. This is the story when the people in the synagogue, in Nazareth where he was raised, were angry at the Lord's preaching and they rose up against him, grabbed him to go cast him off a cliff. But it was not yet his time to die for the sins of the world, so he had to deliver himself from them. The Lord Jesus used supernatural means to get out of their midst. After the Lord Jesus told them that, "you folks refused to believe! No prophet is accepted in his own country. Look at what happened in the days of Elisha: because he was not respected in his own land, his miracle power was used to bless another woman in another country. And in the days of Elijah: his power was used to bless someone in another country." In effect, he was saying, you folks are not believing, it's going to happen to you again: Christ's power will be sent to bless other nations. "And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath. And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong." Now listen to this. The Lord Jesus Christ used his supernatural power to get out of there. This is what I am talking about, that God will use his supernatural power to protect his own people in the time of trouble. The Lord Jesus demonstrated the power right here: "But he passing through the midst of them went his way." How could he pass through the midst of them when they were holding him and thrusting him out of the city? He more or less blinded their eyes as he loosed himself from their grip. They were blinded and couldn't recognize him anymore (except the disciples who recorded this episode), so that he passed through the midst of them and went his way. Supernatural protection! Our God is a supernatural God and he has this power for his prophets.

We see the same example when Elisha was revealing the secrets of the King of Syria to the King of Israel. The King of Syria sent a band of soldiers to go arrest Elisha. They came to the city where Elisha lived. But see supernatural protection in action! You are thinking of power against weapons alone? Even against the eyes of men, against soldiers! God used supernatural protection to protect his servant. The Syrian army surrounded the city to arrest Elisha. As they came by his house, Elisha commanded that they should be blinded, and the soldiers were blinded. They were not physically blind, but mentally or spiritually blinded! They could see, but could not perceive! They couldn't recognize where they were, nor where they were going, and Elisha the prophet came out of his house and talked to them. They did not recognize who was talking to them, and he said, "I will lead you to whom you are looking for; follow me". They followed him and he led them to Samaria, the capital city, where the King of Israel could have his own army surround these Syrian soldiers. I paraphrased the story but go read all about it in 2Kings chapter 6 from verse 8 to verse 23.

Elisha asked the Lord to open their eyes that they might see where they were. The Lord opened their eyes, and they realized they were in Samaria, surrounded by the soldiers of Israel. Now they were in trouble. But Elisha let them go in peace. That was supernatural protection of the kind we were talking here. It can not only blind soldiers, but also can protect you from physical weapons of destruction. Our God is a supernatural God.

There is another example of when the Lord Jesus used the supernatural protection to escape from the mob that was trying to arrest him, in John chapter 8 verse 59. In every episode, you will notice that when he escaped the mob, he walked through the midst of them, because he had blinded them. Supernatural protection! And this power or this faith is for the sons of God, if we can come to the stature of the Son of God. When we can come to the measure of the stature of Christ, this power shall be available to us, saints, to use freely. This is what we are talking about. Aspire to be like him!

The faith, which Christ has brought to us, is to build us to the level of translation so that we can translate and get out of here without seeing death.

When the Jews said unto the Lord Jesus, "Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham", Jesus said unto them, "verily, verily I say unto you, before Abraham was, I am". This made the Jews furious for making such a statement. "Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by." (Jn.8: 58-59).

How could he go through the midst of those who wanted to stone him, except they couldn't recognize him? The Lord Jesus used supernatural protection there again. They couldn't see him anymore. As far as they were concerned, he disappeared. But the disciples saw him passed through the midst of them. That was supernatural protection, and God has this power for the saints. "As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God." When we become sons of God and we arrive at the stature of Christ, the power will be indwelling us.

This same faith of Christ is to go from glory unto glory. Faith for healing, faith for controlling natural elements, faith for changing political situations and social mind of people, faith for supernatural protection also, by this same principle of faith, applying our faith in all the spheres of life. Where is your faith? If you say, you have tried to apply your faith once and it did not work for you, then check yourself and see whether you are in the narrow road! For thus saith the Lord, "Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls." (Jer.6:16).

We will continue into the faith that will give us translative anointing, translative or rapturing faith. Yea, this we have searched, and so it is. Hear it, and know thou it for thy good! Go now and read again the "Rapturing faith series" from this ministry. May the Lord guide your heart unto all truth.

"Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." But walk the walk which the prophets walked to please the Lord! Amen.
