God will protect

Prophecies in the bible will be fulfilled, but the Lord does not want us to be afraid.

"When ye shall see all these things come to pass, lift up your heads, and look up for your redemption draweth nigh."

In Psalm 91, we see the promises of God of protection for us as we abide in the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shall thou trust. His truth shall be thy shield and buckler."

The word of God is our shield and our buckler. In Verse 5, it says "Thou shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrows that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday."

We have to always remember these promises. In all these exhortations, what we are saying is, this is the promise of God but it is for those that are abiding under the shadow of the Almighty.

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

That is why we are walking with the Lord, that is why we are gathering, and praying regularly. We don't want to walk away from under that shadow. As long as we are under His shadow, he said "surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence."

All those things that are taking place and the signs of the end that will take place, his promise of protection is sure for those who abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The shooting at random in the streets, or terrorist attacks in cities, these are the terrors and the pestilences of which God's promise said "we shall not be afraid". How? "He shall cover thee with his feathers and under his wings shall thou trust", if you are dwelling in the secret place of the most High. That is why we must walk with Jesus, pray, listen to the Holy Spirit, keep ourselves in him, and move when he asks us to move.

"A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not come nigh thee." All those evil things done by men to destroy, whether bomb, or drive-by shooting in the streets, those are the destruction that wasted at noonday. Whether motor accidents, or nuclear plant accidents, we shall not be afraid because God is in charge of our own lives.

"Only with thine eyes shall thou behold and see the reward of the wicked."It means all the evil things that happen in the world should only be happening to the wicked. The devil is only justified to smite the wicked. That is why the promise of God says: only with our eyes shall we behold and see the reward of the wicked, when we are abiding under the shadow of the Almighty.

"Because thou hast made the Lord which is my refuge, even the most High thy habitation; there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling."

These are sure promises of God, forever settled in heaven. All we need to do is to abide under the shadow of the Almighty. How we do that is keep Jesus in your mind, walk with Jesus, talk with Jesus, let his word abide in you. After the Lord Jesus himself gave those prophecies in the Gospel of Mark (Mk.13), in verse 37, he concluded thus: "And what I say unto you, I say unto all, Watch!".

Remember the covenant of God with Noah, wherein God said he will never again destroy the whole earth with the flood. Since then, it was a city here and there which was destroyed like Sodom. Instead of wiping the whole earth clean again, God allowed troubles and destructions, wars upon cities at a time. Those have been pointed out to be judgment from God. All the Sodomites who are populating cities of America, along with the violence and gang activities have also been pointed out by some preachers to be judgment from God upon the land, which in the end will cause another destructive overthrow of cities.

Those destructive tornadoes, huricanes, earthquakes or terrorist attacks are part of the sectionalized judgment of nations. But we who are believers must abide under the shadow of the Almighty continously so that "only with our eyes shall we behold and see the reward of the wicked".

We should also look up expecting that the Lord is coming soon. "Watch ye therefore:for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch." (Mk.13:35-37).

This is our part to play: to watch and pray. Abide under the shadow of the Almighty, walk with Him. He also said, Watch.

For example, I do not regularly watch television. Once in a while the Lord will tell me to turn on the television and it may be the time a prophecy-fulfilling episode is being described on a Christian TV station, or in the news. That is watching. I just saw a scientific report of volcano bubbling in some part of California on TV. I said look at that: California again; with all the prophecies about a big quake some day in California, a volcano is already oozing to the surface. It is nearer than we once believed. That is part of watching. Christ said "what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."

Similarly I turned on the TV one day and heard some discussion about portable Nuclear bombs owned by Russia which was reported to have been missing, and that Russia has warned that some of those nuclear bombs could have fallen into the hands of terrorist organizations, and that they may target American cities. When I heard it, it reminded me of the vision I saw of a bomb-blast in a building in New-York which I already wrote in my web-site under Visions and Prophecies. I wrote that the bomb must be a nuclear bomb due to radiation monitored before the bottle was ignited in the vision. We just need to walk with the Lord in these days and abide under his shadow even when we travel abroad, since no one knows when any of those evils will take place.

When we abide in him, he said "Surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence." "A thousand shall all at our side, ten thousand at our right hand, but it shall not come near us". We have to claim those promises of God. The devil can bring fear of those evil things, but all we need to do is to remember what God said. Just remember the promise and say it to yourself: A thousand shall fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it shall not come near me. Say it to yourself over and over again until the fear varnishes.

There was a time I saw a vision about a brother killed. I sent a note to the brother reminding him of the faith of the word of God that "Christ has abolished death", and that he must begin to claim the word of God. The Lord gave the word to build us up against the onslaught of the wicked. The just shall live by faith. We already have the word against poverty, against diseases, and against death.

We must believe the word, confess the word, and resist the enemy by the word, claiming the promises of God. Death is an imprisonment. But Christ said "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." (Rev.1:18). Since He has the key, he can open the gate and let any prisoner go free. He can keep me alive never to see death. That is how to claim the promises of God. The just shall live by faith.

God has given his word to combat everything that the Devil will do to the world at this end-time. Look at it in the book of Revelation chapter 6. Verse 8 mentioned "to kill with sword, and with hunger (poverty), and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

Against poverty, we have the prosperity message, which some unlearned people opposed. Against sword and bullets, and drive-by shooting, we have psalm 91 promises. The beasts of the earth include those virus, which are bacteria or germs causing the epidemics and diseases. We have psalm 91 promises against such. Against death, we receive the word of God that Christ has abolished death and has brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. (2Tim.1:10; Jn.8:51).

"The rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity." Are we righteous? " .. and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord." (Isa.54:17; Psa.125:3).

We have got to remember these verses always, walk uprightly and abide under the shadow of the Almighty, so that as he promised, "Surely, he shall deliver us from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence."

I pray that every reader will learn to abide under the shadow of the Almighty so as to claim the promises of God of protection in the days of evil, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.
