Behold many do not realize that to be translated in the rapture is the final product of constant overcoming of all negativism. We read in the bible how Elijah the prophet was finally translated in the chariot of fire. But only few overcoming experiences of Elijah were recorded; an example was when he conquered arrest or perhaps death by calling fire from heaven upon troops of soldiers. (1 Kgs.1:12). However there was a daily triumphing experience over devils by prophets of God all through the ages.
Yea, understand that sicknesses, accidents, deaths, sorrows, sins, and all such negative things are caused by evil spirits. When a prophet of God begins to put sicknesses under control, and put accidents away, through the name of Jesus, he is growing up. He is putting off many deaths! When the prophet gets more powerful through the Lord Jesus Christ, some stronger devils will try to stop him by evil attacks, and he will put such also under subjection, till the death-angel himself appear before him -- which is the rank of satan and evil-cherubs that fell with him. When the prophet is equipped with the authority of God, he sends the evil cherub away fleeing before him. Yea, those are the ranks and files in the camp of the enemy. In order to make God’s power available to all, Christ came that through death, he might destroy he that has the power of death, that is, the devil. (Heb.2:14,15).Therefore, it is no more one prophet out of millions of people that should attain to the height of glorification. Christ has come to bring many more sons unto glory. (Heb.2:10). But remember, this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. All the bible heroes that made 40 days fasting had their bodies taken up to heaven! The ministry of Enoch who was translated that he should not see death was not recorded; the body of Moses who made 40 days fasting twice was not found. Surely he had been (ressurrected and) translated because he appeared with Elijah (who is still alive) on the mount of transfiguration afterwards before the Lord. (Deut.34:6; Mat.17:3). And the devil also contended about the body of Moses: the devil was confused. (Jude 9). Elijah the prophet was taken away in the chariot of fire after he had fasted 40 days and nights. The Lord Jesus also fasted 40 days; he ressurrected and took his body up to heaven. And lo, this is the age of the rapture; this is the end of the world! Many saints shall go through many days of fasting, and many are already doing this, drinking ordinary water. They shall be caught up to meet Christ in the sky! Yours need not be 40 days; (Joel 2:9), but those examples signify that fasting-life has a part to play in walking with the Lord. By fasting, the prophets are strenghtened by the Spirit of God in their daily triumphing over demonic attacks. Forty days fasting is the maximum foodlessness an average person can endure, and with such a long fast, it’s as if the prophets have gone to meet the angel of death at its door steps and triumphed over him in the name of the Lord! Waoh, Halleluyah! What then can kill them? Christ only surrendered to redeem mankind by his blood! (Read Job.38:17). Behold as the prophet of the Lord triumphs over sin, over sickness, over deathly things, and over all attacks from the devils, knowing many supernatural weapons of war through God, yea he will subsequently triumph over the gravitational force as the Holy Ghost in him begins to take him where he willeth. Very soon, the man of God will be gone in translation (rapture) to hereafter live in God’s realm of the heavenlies with whom he has walked on earth pleasing the Lord. AND ENOCH WALKED WITH GOD, AND HE WAS NOT; FOR GOD TOOK HIM .... HE PLEASED GOD! (Heb.11:5,6; Gen.5:24).
There are four elements that christians may use to drive devils away. For a born-again believer, either one or the other of these terrific substances of God’s presence and power with God can be used to make the devils flee. These four elements of power with God, which the devils cannot stand against, are what I call the overcomers battle-kit. You must first of all have the permanent equipments or armour (in Ephe.6:14-16) of salvation from sin, which is your helmet; and righteousness for breastplate; truth for girdle; the preparation of the gospel of peace for your feet as you witness for Jesus, and your faith, as you build up more by fasting, which is your shield wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the the wicked.
Behold the above armour protects you from being hurt by the enemy. Yet for you to be a winner, you must draw out the sword and smite the enemy with it, and the devils shall flee before you; that is when you become a deliverance agent for Jesus as you pray for the sick. The four substances of Christ's presence: THE BLOOD OF JESUS, THE NAME OF JESUS, THE WORD OF GOD, AND THE FIRE OF GOD when called down from heaven upon devils, will put the enemies to flight before you, when used with enough faith! We shall learn what they mean and what the devils see that make them flee when you use these tactical weapons of God’s saints. Put on the whole armour of God and fear not! Be an overcomer! Begin to declare before Principalities and powers that you have overcome already, for the battle is of the Lord! And behold saith the Lord, “FEAR NOT, I AM THE FIRST AND THE LAST; I AM HE THAT LIVETH, AND WAS DEAD; AND, BEHOLD, I AM ALIVE FOR EVERMORE, AMEN; AND HAVE THE KEYS OF HELL AND OF DEATH.” (Rev.1:17-18). For the Lord thy God is he that fight for thee! Simply plead the blood of Jesus, or rebuke the devils in the name of Jesus, or quote the word of God to the devils and in the finality, call fire of judgement on the devils -- they shall flee from thee.However, when you remind the enemy of the judgement of God against the wicked, you also must not be wicked. That is the most important issue. When you say “it is written, evil shall slay the wicked”, then you also must not be wicked! Otherwise the word of God will not work for you. It is just as Christ said: “if ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you” (Jn.15:7). If you want what you ask to be granted, then you have to abide in Jesus Christ. “He that is begotten of God keepeth himself and the wicked one toucheth him not”. (1Jn.5:17). With the word of God as the sword you will constantly fight your way through enemy attacks.
Now if you have a sword and you do not sharpen the sword, it will not be effective. Once the enemies realize that the sword in your mouth is not hurting them, they will not run from you anymore. The sword in the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ is a sharp two-edged sword. (Rev.1:16). Your own sword will be sharp as you keep yourself holy, if you will be a fasting christian. Fasting will help you to be able to put faith in what you are saying. By faith, you are expecting that what you are uttering forth to the attacking enemy is going to hurt him enough that he will turn back and flee from you. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen”. (Heb.11:1). Remember the Lord said concerning certain spirits: “this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting”. So you need to be a fasting christian to have a sharper sword. (Mat.17:21). There are many other pertinent verses in psalm 37. Verse 9 says “For evildoers shall be cutoff: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” Verse 14 says: “the wicked have drawn the sword and have bent their bow to cast down the needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation”. But what will happen to the wicked? “Their sword shall enter into their own hearts and their bows shall be broken.” (Psa.37:14-15). If somebody is bringing a sword against you, and you say “the sword of the wicked shall enter into his own heart”, you are really saying the evil he planned shall return upon his own head. Or if he wants to shoot an arrow, and you say “his bows shall be broken”, that is bible, the power in the word of God. You are to quote it in the time of need! Such verses are said to be the sword of the spirit. You are to quote them when the devil attempts some evil around you. You protect yourself with the other armour of righteousness and truth and faith for shield, but the sword is for fighting the enemy. The sword is the word of God and these examples are how you wield your sword in the face of the enemy. If somebody comes against you trying to curse you, what should you do? You should just remove the curse from your head by the word of God by quoting the scriptures to the fellow: “A curse causeless shall not come”. (Prov.26:2). You remove the curse by quoting the verse why a curse shall not affect you. Remember the bible said we are the Israel of God. The spiritual Israel! Therefore the blessing of God upon Abraham or upon Israel belongs to us. God said to Abraham and to Israel: “Cursed be everyone that curse you and blessed be he that blesses you”. (Gen.27:29, Num.24:9). The word of God is very powerful. You are to ask for wisdom in using it; Wisdom to answer correctly! The bible said “he that ordereth his conversation aright will I show the salvation of the Lord.” (Psa.50: 23) . The summary of it is this: the sword of the spirit is the word of God. And this sword is as follows: the blessing for the saints, and the judgement-verses for the wicked. When you remind a wicked person about the judgement of God concerning wickedness, you are bringing the sword of God against him. To a human being, the verse is still to warn. But to the spirits, when you say something like “it is written, evil shall slay the wicked”, the devils are smitten in the spirit. Those human being who are possessed by evil spirits also will feel the hurt when the devil in them is smitten. Devils can be cut off, separating their soul from their spirit as written: “for the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow; and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”. (Heb.4:12). If you do not know, realize it now that the invisible world is like the visible world. There are policemen in the spirit world just as there are policemen in the visible world. The evil spirits can be cut off; they can be arrested and send to prison yards where they do not like to go. We, saints, are a type of police which the evil spirits do fear; especially those of us who know our spiritual right, that “we are sitted in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”. Therefore they have to obey us. For example, if you pray against a sickness and it does not go, then remind the devil of the bible verses that said Christ has taken away our diseases and “by his stripes we were healed”. The word of God you have quoted becomes a sword against the devil which is behind the sickness and he must leave. You may have to repeat the word to the enemy’s hearing many times because you are dealing with a rebellious spirit. They really must be wounded badly before they learn sometimes. Remember Satan had to be smitten three times by the Lord Jesus Christ during the temptation before the devil left him. When the Lord quoted a verse “it is written”, the devil also brought a verse, but Christ quoted another bible verse. (Mat. 4). Therefore, don’t give in easily. I gave a ride to a believer in my car one time. This brother had a demonic torment upon his body and he could feel every pinch of the devil upon himself. I told him to rebuke the devil with a bible verse if that devil torment him again. While we were driving in the car the devil tormented him and he quoted the verse to the devil quietly (i.e I did not hear him say it), and the devil punched him harder. This brother shriek and marveled and said: “it is almost like a fight, he punch me harder”. I replied, “I told you it is a war! Don’t give in! You have to repeat it over and over again till the devil runs off.” But he was scared to repeat the verse. I tell you, the spirits are listening. Whether you see them or not, when you quote the bible verse to them with your mouth, they may charge at you first but you have to maintain your ground that you are no more a slave to their oppression. You must say it at least twice to show that you believe it. (1Tim.5:19). “Deliver thyself, O daughter of Zion!” It’s a battle! The slave masters will not let go of their slaves freely. The slaves must revolt! The higher authority has abolished slave trade. I have preached the same message concerning death. “Christ has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” (2 Tim.1:10). The devil is still holding mankind in slavery to death but the slaves must revolt! Heaven is on our side. If you don’t do something about it God will not do anything about it till the end of the world. Because if a slave refused to leave after he had been set free in Israel in the seventh year, his ear was to be bored through with an aul and he would be a slave for ever. Why his ear? Because he refused to listen to God and to take his liberty! (Ex.21:5-6). Now remember the testimony above; the devil will fight to keep the slaves under him. That was why the devil punched the brother harder. But understanding that it is a war, and realizing that you are at least hurting your enemy, you should keep on hurting the enemy and look for more weapons to hurt him with, until he runs away from you. Yea the word of God is the sword of the spirit indeed! Search for more bible verses to this effect. I pray for all that read this literature that they be given the wisdom to remember the word of God to use against the enemy at every situation, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.The name of Jesus Christ:
I said there are four elements of God’s presence which we can use to drive off the enemy: The blood of Jesus Christ, the word of Jesus Christ, the name of Jesus Christ and the fire of the Holy Ghost as the scripture has said: “he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. (Mat.3:11). In rapturing faith part 2, I have discussed the fire of God as a weapon for the saints. Now I will speak on the power in the name of the Lord Jesus. The bible says “the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe”. (Prov.18:10). But how do you run into the name of the Lord? A tower is a fortress and a high place from where you can see afar off in the days of battle and war. What is the secret behind this name? Let’s read the story of Jacob. An Angel wrestled with Jacob in the night when he was coming back from Syria. “And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And He said let me go for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go except thou bless me.” Jacob knew that he was not an ordinary man that he wrestled with. “And He said unto him, what is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And He said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel; for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and has prevailed. And Jacob asked him, tell me I pray thee, thy name. And He said, wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. (Gen.32:24-28). He did not tell Jacob his name. “And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel; for I have seen God face to face and my life is preserved.” Which means, the “man” who wrestled with Jacob that night was God Almighty! Is that strange that God came down in the form of a human being and was wrestling with Jacob overnight? No wonder the scripture says “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (Jn.3:16). See? God so loved us! As great as He is, and as almighty as He is, He humbled himself so low and appeared as a man to wrestle, with a friend that He loves, like two teenagers in a wrestling contest. Heaven is his throne, and the earth is his footstool, yet He came to the man He created to play with him on our level. “Thou humbleth thyself to behold the things that are in heaven and in the earth”. For him to look down from heaven at all is humility; how much more to come down and to play like a man with one of us! I have seen many times in my visions when God will appear like my Father and jump over walls with me, like a father will play with his young son. God loves us so much and wants to have fellowship with man. Why did the Angel refused to tell his name to Jacob? God kept his name secret to men in the old testament so that he can reveal it, once and for all, for our salvation. Ordinary angels will freely tell their names to man whenever they appear. Angel Gabriel boasted of his name before Zacharias as he said: “I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee these glad tidings”. (Lk.1:19). The name of Michael was even given to Daniel. (Dan.10:13). Their names are no secrets. But God kept his name secret in the old testament for a purpose, to reveal it in the new, to the whole world. In another instance, when an Angel appeared to Manoah to announce the birth of Samson, they asked for the name of the Angel and he said “Why asketh thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?” (Judges 13:18 ) . When the Angel went up in the smoke of the offering, Manoah said unto his wife We shall surely die, because we have seen God. Again, when Moses said Who will I say sent me? In short, he was asking for the name of God at the burning bush; God replied and said I AM THAT I AM. (Ex.3:13-14). Just think about it! Every one on earth was given a name by the person who brought one here. You get your name from your parents, and perhaps after you are grown up you pick an additional name. Your parents get their names from their parents, and so on. But the One who created all things and has been from the beginning can only give himself a name if He so chooses. All idols and gods formed and made by men or by devils have names giving to them by men or by the evil spirits that form them. The worshippers of those idols call the name of their idols to make it do something. If the true God is to give a name to Himself, it has to be an Oracle, so that when that name is called by the true worshippers of the true God, the name should perform wonders unprecedented. Therefore God kept his name secret till the end to be revealed to the world, for thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. The Lord Jesus said, I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. (Jn.17:26). But what name has he declared? He said in my name shall they cast out devils. (Mk.16:17). The name is Jesus! In fact, it was said that Moses must have received the revelation of the name of God and wanted to pass it along for the deliverance of his people, the hebrews. Therefore he specifically changed the name of his servant who was to take over and to lead the children of Israel to the promised land from O'shea to Joshua which by interpretation is Jehovah-Saviour, just as the name Jesus in Greek means Jehoshua or Jehovah Saviour in hebrew. (Acts 7:45; Num.13:16). God has kept his name secret all these years. When He addressed himself to Moses, he said “I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob”. He kept his name secret so that in the end of the world he might reveal it for our salvation, that when you call it something should happen. When you are bombarded by devils and demonic attacks and you call on that name J-E-S-U-S, the devils will scatter. That name is mighty! It is more than an oracle. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe. Now it says the righteous! You have to be righteous; otherwise that name will not work for you. But our own righteousness is of the Lord. By believing in the blood of Jesus Christ as an atonement for your sins, you are declared righteous by God. Henceforth he that is begotten of God keepeth himself and that wicked one toucheth him not. Once we are clinging to the righteousness of Jesus Christ and his shed blood on the cross as our atonement, we are classified as righteous in the sight of God. Therefore the name will work for all believers. What you then need is to put enough faith in the name! Faith is the expectation that when you call the name Jesus, what you desire shall be accomplished, especially against evil spirits. Use the name with reference. Suppose the devils and demons are raging and pulling and pushing you, just reserve that name, like a bomb waiting for the proper time to drop it on the devil. Like a mighty giant not ready to arise. Then suddenly, just say “IN THE NAME OF J-E-S-U-S”. Put the emphazy on J-e-s-u-s! The devils will just fall down smitten before you. Amen! You have to put that name in reference in your mouth.I will tell you what happens in the spirit when you properly use that name of Jesus. Use it like a bomb. Soldiers don’t usually throw bombs until there are many that surround them. In like manner, just rebuke the devils first telling them to leave. If they continue to disobey, then you are ready to throw a grenade at them. This is what the Lord revealed to me in a vision. There was a gathering of evil spirits like a company of soldiers (50 to 100 of them) trying to come against me. I started commanding them to go away from me. They refused and were pressing in against me. Each time when I said “I command all you devils to go away from me now in the name of Jesus Christ”, a whip appeared from nowhere and smote all of them at one blow, and they all moved back. When they tried again to press in against me and I said it again, the whip appeared and smote them at my mention of Jesus Christ. They could not see that Jesus with me. He was still warning them, not destroying them yet. A sword may be the next thing against them. The bible said at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow! That is why when we command the devils in the name of Jesus there is a whip upon the evil spirits if they are disobedient to our command. It is the name of the Lord God Almighty. He kept it secret in the old testament.
These are the things you can do with the name of Jesus. In Mark chapter sixteen, the Lord said “these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name shall they cast out devils.” All authority is in that name - Jesus! All power in heaven and on earth is in that name - Jesus! When you have Jesus in you, you are his ambassador. Then you can act in his name. If you are in your sleep and some devils are trying to come against you, if you can open your mouth, just say JESUS. They will run away. Amen! You are to keep that name in your mouth every time so that even in your sleep it will be readily in your mouth. When you are praying, don’t be like some folks who pray: O God, I need this, I need that da da da. Call him by his name: Lord Jesus! You become close relatives and friends. The Lord said “I have called you friends ...”. God wants to be your friend. He is your Father, yet He also wants to be your friend. Then you can tell him everything. “He that has a friend must behave himself friendly. Address him as your friend. When you want to eat, call him Jesus, let's eat together! When you want to go out call him and he will go with you. When you want to sleep, tell him and he will watch over you. When you take God as tangible as that, he will be real to you. However, if you want him to do all that you ask from him, Jesus said, If you abide in me and my word abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you. (John 15:7). If you are on your way and there is a fear on the road, just call Jesus and keep the name of Jesus in your mouth. He will keep you company. Some people tried to use the name of Jesus and it did not work for them: Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call upon them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, we adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. And there are seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them and overcame them and prevailed against them so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.” (Acts 19:13-17). You see that? They thought anybody can use the name of Jesus! They thought they don’t need to repent from their adultery, their drunkeness, and their other sins. The devil said he did not know them! Now what does that mean? It means you must be known by the devils. That is, you must confess Jesus in the public. Not only by mouth; your life must also show that you belong to Jesus. That you have been separated from the world of polutions of fornication, drunkeness, adultery, and so on, and you have identified yourself with believers. You are to identify yourself with those who are identified with Jesus. Sometimes we, believers, will gather at a place when we are praying or preaching and some folks will feel ashamed to come and join us. That means they are not identifying with the Lord Jesus Christ and his people. Some folks would have joined if we are many, but Christ's true people are usually little flocks here and there. Not a crowd! Fear not little flock for it is your father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Don't expect a crowd. I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth. (Rom.1:16). Once the devils recognize that you are ashamed to identify with a group of true believers in Christ, the devils will know you are not one of the true believers. But if you are identified with Jesus, even if the devil will stubbornly not obey your command, he still will never come against you as he attacked those seven sons of Sceva- the exorcists. Jesus is the name that you can call to overcome the devil. Know these weapons and use them so that you can be free. Christ said “ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.This vision was giving to me by the Lord and it helped me to make up my mind that I will follow Jesus to the end. I now have become a soldier for Christ to run after the enemy for the deliverance of anybody who will call on Jesus. Yea, the name of JESUS is the name that calls the hosts of heaven to action! “I will set him on high because he has known my name. He shall call upon me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honour” saith the Lord. (Psa.91:14-15). Call on JESUS! He loves you! He shall deliver you!
