We come to revelation 19. From this chapter to the end of the book of revelation we see what God planned for the saints. The new Jerusalem, the new heaven and the new earth, and what will become of planet earth. Satan himself will be judged in chapter 20.

All we have read so far: Chapters 1-3, were written to the churches. From chapter 4 it deals with the world kingdoms. God put Adam here, the seed of man on planet earth. And he gave them 6 days. When God said he created the world in 6 days, Genesis 1 is an index that God was giving mankind 6000 years, for a day with the Lord is like a thousand years. 6000 years for mankind and God will redeem man. God will redeem man and set up a kingdom of saints and holy people. That is the plan of God. The 7^th day rest signify the 7000^th year, the reign of Christ on earth when there will be no more sorrow, no more troubles. For 1000 years God will put away all satanic things that are on this planet earth. Satan himself will be locked up in the bottomless pit. We’ll see that in chapter 20.

From chapter 4, it reveals how God will close up these kingdoms of the world. They are the beast kingdoms. They are all symbolized as animals. From the population of men on earth, God is redeeming mankind through the blood of Jesus Christ. Those who are redeemed are the people that will enter the new kingdom, the kingdom of God on this planet. Those that were dead shall be resurrected. We read this in the book of Daniel chapter 7 that the people of the saints of the Most High shall take over the kingdom of this world and possess it forever and ever.

Rev.19:1: “And after these things, I heard a great noise of much people in heaven saying, Alleluia.”

Here he said he heard the sound of much people in heaven. There are some groups that do not believe that anyone is going to heaven. They think we will all be here to go through the world wars. Some don’t believe that there will be rapture. But there will be a rapture when they that are alive and in Christ will be taken out of this planet before the wrath of God is poured upon the earth. Afterwards, they that went up to meet the Lord in the air will come down with him to begin the reign on this planet earth. (1Thes.4).

Those people singing Alleluia in heaven have been taken to heaven. Don’t think they are the souls of the dead either. Some of us will depart from this earth without seeing death.

“Alleluia, Salvation, and glory, and honour and power unto the Lord our God .”

V.3 “And again they said Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever”

This was talking of the mystery Babylon, interpreted to be a city that ruleth over the world in those days.

The blood of the matyrs are avenged, because the city was noted for killing and persecuting the saints of God.

V.4: And the 4 and 20 elders and the 4 beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen, Alleluia.

V.6: And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying Alleluia: for the Lord God Omnipotent reigneth.

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him, for the marriage of the lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints”.

Let’s talk about the marriage of the Lamb. The Lamb of God is the Lord God when he manifested as a man, the Lord Jesus Christ, sacrificed for us.

The Lamb is going to get married. What does that really mean. He is marrying a city, talking about the city that God himself will inhabit - the city of God, new Jerusalem. When God said he is marrying a city what does it mean? Remember mystery Babylon depicted as a woman was also a city. The city of God is New Jerusalem. When God marry a city, he is not just marrying the pillars and posts of the city. God is talking of the dwellers of the city that should be worshipping him. The Lamb being married to a city is talking of the city where the saints will be living. The saints and the city constitute the bride of the Lamb.

We see the description of the city in chapters 21 and 22. God is married to the people that will live in that city, and not the pillars and posts of the city.

V.7: Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him, for the marriage of the lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints”.

Holiness is our clothing. The bible said you are blessed when you keep your garment, and don’t let the shame of your nakedness be exposed. Don’t let any sin come your way. Fine linen is the righteousness of the saints. We must be righteous, yet our righteousness is of the Lord, because he has made us righteous in the beloved. (Isaiah 54) “This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”

V.9 “Write, blessed are they which are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, these are the true sayings of God”.

You are blessed if you are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. I am asking you now: Will you be one of them to be in that city of God? To be one of them in the bride of Christ, are you acceptable before God? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Have you set yourself apart unto his righteousness? That is your calling as a believer, friend! And we are to live according to that vocation by which we are called. Live a holy life, separate yourself from sin, calling upon the Lord Jesus Christ alone.

Search the bible to see what is acceptable before God. That is the Lord’s command to every one. You are blessed if you are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.

V10: “I fell at his feet to worship him, and he said unto me, see that thou do it not. I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. “

This verse is here to let us know who this angel was that revealed this thing to apostle John. The angel said he was a fellow servant like one of the saints that have passed on, and God is using them as angels. Even apostle Peter wrote that “we have not followed cunningly devised fable” when he said the Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord of all. Apostle Peter knew that after he died he was not just going to rotten away. He knew that he would still be serving the Lord Jesus Christ in the heavens when he put off his tabernacle of flesh. (2Pet. 1: 14-16). Concerning the saints that have passed on, some could have been resurrected like those that resurrect in Mat.27, or their spirits are being used by Christ to show these visions to the saints on earth. Because such will be our duties in the world to come for the new creations God will be making. Amen!.

Verse 11, “ And I saw heaven open and behold a white horse, and he that sat upon it was called faithful and true. And in righteousness he does judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire and on his head many crowns. And he had a name written that no man knew but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood and his name is called the word of God.”

Now who is this that is described? The Lord Jesus Christ! He manifested in so many colors in different arrays because he is the King of kings and Lord of lords. It says he has so many crowns, the crown of righteousness, the crown of holiness. He has the crown of the over comer. He is the first of all things. He is the first begotten of the father. He has the preeminence in all things. There is no crown that he has not won. You can say in athletics he is the champion. You can say in academics he is the champion. You can say in boxing he is the champion. You might say what about in horse-racing? He is the champion. That is what is meant to have preeminence in all things. He has many crowns. That is what this is symbolizing that the Lord, the Lamb of God, is the word of God that overcomes everything.

In verse 14, “ And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses clothed in fine linen white and clean.” This army in heaven is made of the saints of God, and being clothed in white raiment means that they are righteous: they are saints. We are not talking about the angelic beings of heaven. These are saints of God that are in the army of God.

And he went further verse 15: “ And out of his mouth, (the mouth of the one that sat on the throne,) goeth a sharp sword that with it he should smite the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron. And he treaded the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”

This is the prelude of the war that is coming from heaven against the dwellers of earth that have not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

And it says here, “he shall rule them with a rod of iron.” We see that in revelations chapter 12, the man child was caught up onto the throne of God and this man-child is to rule the nations with a rod of iron. They are going to rule the earth and there will be no changing of government while the Lord Jesus Christ is reigning. There is no democracy. He is not going to rule this world by any Parliamentary system. There is not going to be a change of government: it is Theocracy! it is a dictatorship by love. All must obey him, and he is going to appoint saints to rule in all the countries and nations of the earth that are redeemed. There will be some countries that will be wiped out so that their names will no longer be mentioned on this earth. But there will be some other countries that will remain, and saints will be appointed to rule the countries, and no change of government either. Not by Parliamentary and not by election. It is by God’s choice of those that will rule in those countries, and they will rule for one thousand years.

Verse 15, “ And he had on his vesture and on his thigh a name written ‘King of Kings and Lord of Lords’.”

“And I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice and said unto all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God, that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and the flesh of all men, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great”.

Now this is where the war is going to take place. They will gather around Jerusalem for battle, God said it in the book of Zechariah 14 that “I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle and half of the city shall be taken; then God will go forth and fight against those nations”.

The angel called for the fowls of heaven to come and eat the flesh of all those soldiers that will be destroyed in this war. Their flesh will be fed to all the birds of the air.

Verse 19 said, “I saw the beast”, which is the antichrist. We said the Antichrist will rule the world, the last world empire upon the earth. It will be reigned over by this antichrist-beast from the bottomless pit. The devil shall possess a man to rule the world. It says, “this beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the throne, and against His army.”

Now, you wonder and say, “are they going to see the Lord Jesus Christ in the sky, and are they going to be bold enough to gather together to fight him? Well, it sounds like that’s what is going to happen but it will not really be that physical. Of course the evil spirits that are working with this satanic prince, called the beast and antichrist, may see the Lord in the sky in the spirit world but the physical men that will be gathered as soldiers on earth may not see the Lord Jesus Christ in the sky until he comes like a flash of lightening to destroy them all. However, they will be gathered against Jerusalem to battle. (Zech. 14)

“I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle”.

And when they gather, they may be fighting against Jerusalem, even against the Jews or against one another like the east and west clashing in the world war, and things like that may be what is taking place in their physical world but in the spiritual world, the demons are gathering to fight the God of heaven that is coming down, but God is going to judge both the spiritual and physical worlds together: All those demons will suddenly be arrested and locked up. Let me show you in the bible what will happen to those spirits called the kings of the earth. God said they will be locked up in the pit – Isaiah 24. God has revealed all these things in the bible by the prophets: how God will judge the earth. And in the book of Revelation: how he is going to take the physical and the spiritual worlds over. Those are all the things the prophets have prophesied and we are just pointing them out to you.

In Isaiah 24, God said all those kings of the earth are going to be locked up in a pit. The principalities and powers of Satan are the kings that are really ruling the world, and not the physical men.

Isaiah 24 from verse 21: “and it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high and the kings of the earth upon the earth, and they shall be gathered together as prisoners are gathered in the pit and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited”.

Now think about that, God said they will be gathered in prison - the kings of the earth, God was talking about spirits, satanic spirits that were ruling the world. They would be gathered and locked up in the pit. You can now see why the bible said the Lord Jesus Christ has the keys of death and of hell, because those spirits will be locked up in hell and will not be allowed out. God said after many days they will be visited. God will let them out for a season again: you will see that in the book of Revelation 20. Satan himself will be locked up in the bottomless pit for the 1000 years. After a while, he will be let loose for a season to test all those dwellers of the earth that have been allowed to populate the earth again.

Verse 20: “and the beast was taken and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image; these both were cast into the lake of fire burning with brimstone”.

This verse mentioned the beast and the false prophet as if they are single human beings that they will be cast alive into a lake of fire. If we say the beast was actually representing nations or kingdoms like the European empire, there will be a ruler over that empire who will be possessed by the satanic spirit out of the bottomless pit. At the end of the world, there will be a satanic-possessed person that will rule the world. Think of Adolph Hitler, the way he brought Germany to the second world war showed that he was demon-possessed, like a mad man. Now that was a type of what you are going to see at the end of the world. There will be someone that is on top, and the person will rule, as possessed by a devil. That is what God is talking about and that spirit will be locked up inside the man, and both the satanic spirit and the man will be cast into a lake of fire.

The same way the false prophet was described in chapter 13, with two horns, symbolizing the two major powers in the North American kingdom. The false prophet will be cast into the fire also. There will be a ruler that will be possessed, leading the nations to do all those things; he also will be arrested. Both the spirit and the physical person will be arrested.

The devil-possessed person will be cast into the lake of fire.

“And the remnants were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of His mouth, and all the fowls were filled with their flesh”.

All the soldiers that gathered together for that war, will be slain and their dead bodies will be eaten by fowls.

Now people have wondered where is this lake of fire; what does it mean by lake of fire, where will that lake of fire be? Now, without putting any dogma on it, consider the following:. Science has been telling us right now that even the sun that we have in our solar system is like a liquid fire or a lake of fire. The sun that we see every morning is like a lake of fire, and it is a planet, like the planet earth. It’s like a planet of fire, a burning inferno of fire resembling a nuclear fire, the sun is millions of miles away and yet we are feeling the heat. It’s like a lake of fire. Something like that could be used as a lake of fire. Will anybody be cast into there and not be burned or destroyed instantly? God wanted them to stay alive and they will not be combusted but they will be suffering. God will make their bodies immortal and they will not perish but they will just be suffering, because that is what will happen to Satan; he will be in the lake of fire but will not be completely destroyed nor annihilated. He will just be suffering for as long as God want him to be there. You better fear God.

Where is that lake of fire? The sun is a lake of fire! God can use the sun! The bible said we are not going to need the sun anymore. In chapters 21 and 22, you will see that we don’t need the light of the sun anymore because God is going to give light to this new heaven and new earth. So, we don’t need the sun, but what will happen to the planet sun? God could turn it into a lake of fire that its light will no more come out but its heat will still be there and its fire will still be there but not shinning light. Because what is light, what is fire? They are radiations or rays that is of visible wavelength. If God disposes of the visible wavelength, you will not see the sun anymore, but the fire will still be there and it will still be heating and still be burning.

Some stars in the galaxies are even as the sun that are burnt out and they become a liquid lake of fire not shinning light but they are still heated inside. Astronomers have detected wormholes, black-holes in space. God can throw things into those pits. God has things that you don’t know of in the universe, we just want you to fear God because we are dealing with something bigger than us here. Human beings are dealing with something bigger than any of us, bigger than the world that we are standing on, bigger than even the universe that we are living in. We want to fear God. He is the Almighty.

But He loves you, he came like a human being and was born like a babe and died for you on the cross and is coming back and He wants to live among men. The bible says that the tabernacle of God will be with men, He is going to live inside the human body, inside the body of the Lord Jesus Christ and dwell among us. That is the plan of God: He loved mankind He has created in the physical world. He wants to live in the physical world with us, and we are going to have a new body, not this physical body that get diseased.

He is going to give us a new body but we are going to be in this physical universe. That is the plan of God, and we will have the power like the Lord Jesus Christ to appear in the physical universe and appear in the invisible universe as he can appear and disappear right now. That is the plan of God and He is inviting you to come and share this eternal glory with Him.

Won’t you accept Him as your Lord and Savior today? I invite you to come.

The Lord Jesus said, “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon thee and learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart and thou shalt find rest unto your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden light.”

“Father, I pray for those that are reading this, that they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and aspire to that goal of the overcomer to please God, and to surrender to the Holy Ghost, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ”
