The Harvest Is Ripe!

Chapter 11 gave us detailed history of the wars in the early world between the king of the North (Roman empire) and the king of the South (Egyptian empire).

He jumped to the end times in chapter 11 about the anti-christ. "Planting his headquarters in the glorious holy mountain", indicating Jerusalem will be the final world-leader's head quarter before the Lord from heaven comes to destroy them at Armagedon.

There has been skirmishes between Israelis and the Palestinians in this generation, and as a result there has been talks that the United Nations should declare Jerusalem as an international city and make it its headquarter, to take it away from both the Palestinians and the Israelis. The bible has already prophesied that the final world ruler will plant his tabernacle in the glorious holy mountain. There has also been talk that the papacy may move its head office from Rome to Jerusalem. If that happens it will also be a direct fulfillment of the prophecy because the book of Daniel chapter 9 mentioned "a prince that shall come", and the people of that "prince" shall destroy the city, Jerusalem, and the temple. We know from history that Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD by the Roman Empire. And the prince that shall come therefore will be coming from Rome. If the Papacy should be moved there, there you have "the prince that shall come".

Dan. 10:21: "But I will show thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth."

Everything the angel spoke to Daniel in these chapters 11 and 12 are said to be in the scripture of truth. As I said, all that is happening has already been pre-recorded in heaven. We are just going through a drama that is pre-recorded in heaven. The world is going through a drama that is pre-recorded. It will happen just as God said. Now in chapter 12, lets see the conclusion. The angel continued to talk to Daniel.

"At that time shall Michael stand up, the great Prince which standeth for the children of thy people. And there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book." (Dan. 12:1).

In the book of Zechariah chapter 14, God said " I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle". God said he will do it. When things are happening in the world, men may say they are the ones doing it, not knowing that it is God that is doing it. If the United Nation decide that they will take over Jerusalem from the Arabs and the Israelis that are fighting over it, the United Nations will think they are the ones doing it. For them to take it over, they will have to send soldiers from all the coalition of nations to Jerusalem. But God had said it in the bible. It's God doing it! God uses the finger of men when he makes things happen. That is why we have to fear before him. Fear before him all the earth!

Here is again what God said: "At the time of the end shall Michael stand up." Michael is the great angel that stands up for Israel. He fights for Israel. In every nation there are spirits that rule the nation. That is why the angel said in Daniel chapter 10 that the prince of Persia delayed him. He was referring to the spirit that ruled the kingdom of Persia in those days. The Prince of Persia mentioned by the angel was a spirit working for Satan. The land of Palestine is what God had reserved for himself out of all the lands. And God made prince Michael His representative owning the land of Palestine. The whole world belongs to God, but he has held the land of Palestine for himself. He said "with thee I will bruise all nations. " That land is the stepping stone for God to take over the whole world. That is why he gave it to Abraham and his seed. God is using it as the stepping stone to take over planet earth. When God gave the earth to mankind, Adam lost it and gave it back to Satan to rule. Now the Lord Jesus Christ came and took the power back from Satan. They rejected Christ so he had to go away. The book of Daniel said the messiah was to be cut off from the earth. He was cut off from his land for a purpose. The land of Palestine they were fighting over belongs to the seed of Abraham, the one seed - the Messiah. The Lord Jesus preached in parables to them in his sermon about the wicked husbandmen: the husbandmen conspired saying "this is the heir, come let us kill him and seize on his inheritance".

The land belongs to Christ. The true seed of Abraham. The Messiah told the non-believing Jews of his day, "If ye are Abraham's seed, ye will do the works of Abraham". He disowned them for not believing in him. Who then are Abraham's children? Those that are called and chosen by God. Only those elect will be saved. That is why God will allow trouble upon the Jews and the Arabs till they almost wipe one another out. As of now, Jerusalem is no different from any secular city of the world. There are prostitution there as in every big cites, there are homosexuals there as in the big cities of the world. They were even legalizing homosexuality just like the big nations of this world has been legalizing homosexuality. They are just as ungodly as any other country, yet they are still claiming that they are the people of God. Of course there are Rabbis and the religious groups also perhaps in the minority. When Michael shall stand up, there will be confrontation and agitation from the ungodly spirits of sin roaming the land.

The angel said those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the firmament. " And they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever".

Dan.12:4 : "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

Now the angel prophesied that knowledge shall be increased since the time of Daniel when they were still using horse-driven chariots, even up to 200 years ago. At the end of the world knowledge shall be increased. Look at the increase of knowledge now, we are at the end of the world friend! Since the industrial revolution, look at the transportation system, many shall run to and fro! Jet-liners in trans-continental flight. The angel said knowledge shall be increased. Knowledge has increased! Look at the computer revolution in the last 30 years. The internet revolution in the last 10 years. People are trading globally. You can send email from America to China and it arrives in seconds. The cell-Phone has revolutionized the world. You can call any country from another country and talk on the phone. Every person can get a cell phone now if they choose. 30 - 40 years ago it was still a dream. Space travel and space station is happening right before our eyes, which looked like science fiction 50 years ago. Knowledge has increased before our eyes. We are at the time of the end spoken by the angel. When you see all of these things it should make you to believe the bible that the end is here. The knowledge of the word of God has been increased to us also so that we may know all that God planned for mankind as revealed in the bible. Just as the angel said "those that are wise will understand, and will teach many". (Dan. 12:10; Dan. 11:33). Believe the bible, because every other thing written there about the Lord Jesus is true and will take place.

Dan.12:5: Then I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two , the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?"

This is Daniel now writing, and he said he looked and saw some other angels, one on this side of the river, and one on the other side of the river. The angels were asking: you have spoken all these wonderful stories, tell us the timetable of events. What will be the length of time till the end.

v.7: "And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."

Who will scatter the power of the holy people? We believe he is talking about the king of the world at the end, the antichrist. There will be persecution at the end of the world again, against the true believers when the mark of the beast is issued for trading system and the true believers will refuse to take the mark. (Rev.13).

He mentioned 'time, times, and a half'. Some preachers have imagined that it meant a year, two years and a half, making three and a half years. They were thinking of the last three and a half years of the world. It may not be so. It may be talking a time to be 1000 years, times will be two thousand years, and a half, for a total of 3500 years. Just think of how long since Daniel wrote this book, already about 2700 years ago. Remember the question was "how long shall it be to the end of these wonders?" It seems they were asking how long from Daniel's time to the end of the wonders.

Who are the holy people mentioned? We can say the holy people inferred are the people in Jerusalem as written in Zechariah that "half of the people shall be taken but the remaining half shall not be cut off from the city." There are many ways you can interprete this verse.

"And I heard but I understood not:"

Even Daniel said, he understood not. It was too much for his brain. Just think about him looking ahead as prophecies. They were too much for his brain to visualize how those things would take place, even the ones that happened later, like the Messiah come and gone. They were too much for his brain.

"Then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?"

That is, just tell me the final conclusion. The angel answered:

"Go thy way Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."

You see? The angel was saying, this is not for you Daniel to understand. Nobody will be able to understand these things until at the time of the end. Because at the time of the end, number one, knowledge shall be increased, and number two, most of these will be history to the people at the end. We are able to look back into history of the world and see how those prophecies were fulfilled, in the Messiah, in the world kingdoms, and the world technology.

That is how we could look at the book of Daniel chapter 11 and see the history of the world unfolded before our eyes just like the angel prophesied, how the Roman empire and the Egyptian empires fought it out; how the Messiah came and was gone and will come again, how the European kingdoms formed from the Roman empire, and how the persecution of the Christians was in Europe, how the Jews were scattered and are being re-gathered, till the time of the end. The history of the world was narrated prophetically in the book of Daniel.. When we see the history as the angel said, we can see where the world is going. We saw in Daniel chapter 7 that the beast kingdom persecuted the saints, and then the ancient of Days sat and the saints were given the kingdom. That is also written in the book of Revelation chapter 20, that at the end, the saints are resurrected and given the kingdom of this world. This will take place, but the world will have gone through another world war around Jerusalem.

v.10: "Many shall be purified and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand."

The saints are being purified and made white to bring them to the stature of Christ so that God can get the first fruits unto himself. This is going on right now. That is why the prophecy in Daniel chapter 2 said, "in the days of those kings (at the feet of the image of Nebuchadnezzar) shall the God of heaven set up his own kingdom." It is in this end-time of purifying and being made white, that God is numbering his spiritual army and calling saints to the order of Melchisedec, and raising saints to the level of first fruits unto God, that is, those who will arrive at the stature of Christ first. (Rev. 14:1-4).

v.11: "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shall rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days."

The angel told Daniel, you just go your way, for you shall grow old and pass on to thy rest and stand in your lot at the end of times. But this thing will take place after a long time. It happened just as the angel said.

The angel mentioned "from the time the daily sacrifice is taken away and abomination set up".

But the angel in effect was prophesying here that "when Jerusalem is destroyed in that time it will be for a long, long time, thousands of years". (1290 days -- assuming a day symbolizes a year).

That is, it will not be like Jeremiah's 70 years restoration which Daniel experienced. It will be for a long, long time -- they killed the Lord of glory in the human form. That is serious. You may say it was for a purpose, yes, but the bible said, "though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished". We must fear God! It's almost 2000 years since the desolation of Jerusalem. The city had been restored but the temple has not been rebuilt. When was the city restored? We can say in the 20^th century. People will point to 1967 when the Jews won the battle against the Arabs and took over Jerusalem again. Or, when the Jews began to return to the land in the 1900 - 1920. He also said in verse 12: "Blessed is he that waiteth and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days".

This is pointing to a time difference from the end of the wars that God will use to take over the planet earth, and the beginning of the good times, the millenium reign of Christ on earth very likely. From the 1290 days to the 1335 days is only 45 days. That will be the time for cleaning up the earth and the dead being buried worldwide due to nuclear war that was earmarked. (Zech.14:11).

The events at the end of the world is worth watching. The events of the United Nations, the Palestinians, and the Israelis is worth watching. Whose side are you on? I am on the side of the Lord Jesus Christ. He owns it all! As the scripture has said, "the people of the saints of the most high shall take over the kingdom and possess it for ever, even for ever and ever." (Dan.7: 18).

If you are wise you will understand what I am preaching today that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. He is the true seed of Abraham to whom the land is promised. (Rom.4:13; Gal.3:16- "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one. And to thy seed, which is Christ".)

Are you a wise person or a fool? The bible says it is the fool that has said in his heart there is no God, they are corrupt and do abominable things. (Psa. 14:1).

The bible has made it clear that Christ owns the world. He will come back and take it over and give it to the Christians. The dead in Christ shall rise first, and the world will be delivered to the people of Christ. This planet belongs to the Lord, and the saints shall possess it because the righteous shall inherit the earth. If you are a wise person you will believe and strive to be one of the righteous in Christ Jesus. But if you are a fool, you will think this is just fairy tale. But it's not fairy tale. If you are a fool you will think this is just a religion made by men, but you are wrong. I admonish you to repent quickly for the time is short. Your own time may even be shorter than what we are talking about. It's how much time you have on earth to decide whether you will accept Jesus as your Lord and savior is what time you have on earth. Are you going to continue in your own way thinking that your religion will save you? "For there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." (Acts.4:12).
Accept Jesus as your Lord and savior today and be one of the saints of the most high God.
