SUDDEN DEATHS AND EMERGENCIES
All the experiences and testimonies in this writing portray the manifestation of a prophet of God to the spiritual world around him, which makes the prophet himself become spiritually mature and like a policeman who rebukes and gets evil spirits arrested in the world. Therefore the witch spirits henceforth withdrew from the area, when the prophet was around, after they had first challenged the prophet and found God working through him. The prophets thus become "holy watchers" with the Angel of the Lord by their side, because God will execute the word of his prophets speedily. "The Father judgeth no man, but has commited all judgement unto the son," for he is the Son of man!
Certain elementary-school children were attending our Bible study at the satellite-station fellowship. Then, for some time, they stopped coming. I met one of the kids later and asked him, "I have not seen you for a while at Bible study. Why?"
Little children never cover up issues. "My father said we should not come to the Bible study anymore," he said.
"Why did your father say that?" I inquired.
"My father said it is not our religion; we belong to this other church," he replied.
I thought within myself, What can a religious label do for you in this dark world of wickedness? Salvation and deliverance is in Jesus, and the Lord is revealing his word to evangelicals; religious organizational names will not deliver you in the time of need. I asked the father later, and he said the same thing his boy had said. I could not convince him of the need for more of the Word of God.
About six months later, I woke up to sing praise to God at about 3:30 A.M. and the night was troublesome. Where I stood to sing praises to God , a gang of witch-birds were roaming the sky to disturb or distract my attention, simply so that I should not be allowed to concentrate in prayer, lest a prayer point should come to my mind concerning their plan against somebody in those quarters that night. Hardly did I understand the version of their disturbance that night before I heard the news in the morning of what happened to the daughter of the man mentioned previously.
Those birds would fly so close to me as if they would knock their heads upon me when I tried to concentrate in songs or prayer outside my apartment; I kept on rebuking them. If I lifted up my eyes to the sky, singing to the Lord, one of the birds would just dash across my view to distract my attention. That disturbance continued for about thirty minutes. Then, at about 4:00 A.M., I heard the wind blow, and all those birds flew away in one direction, following that wind as if they carried something in it.
I was surprised at what had happened and the way they all fled. I looked at my wristwatch; it was 4:00 A.M. I thought about it and said, "Maybe an angel or the Lord appeared in a dimension that made them flee." But I know the Lord was with me all the time, even before they fled.
When I got to the office that morning, some people were discussing the sad news that they had gone to comfort the elderly man that had lost his daughter overnight; she had been a high-schol girl on vacation with her parent. So I also went to comfort the man. It was the same man that had stopped his children from attending our Bible study.
"Sir, your daughter has been sick these days. You could have at least called on someone like me to help pray for her before such a thing happened. Prayer changes things!" I remarked.
"No,no," he replied. "She was never sick; the whole trouble started at midnight, and we rushed her to the hospital. At the hospital, the doctors battled the problem until four A.M, when she passed away!"
When I heard "four A.M.," I remembered what I had seen at 4:00 A.M. while praying in the open air. Quietly, I said, "Sorry" and walked out of the house. I began to understand the activities of the wicked world, and I prayed that the Lord would give me quick understanding in such situation and authority to arrest the situation, to glorify his name henceforth.
What can doctors do in such situation? They are simply helpless. Only Jesus can deliver! For, at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow! A powerless religion also is useless, because, in time of trouble, they never teach you how to remember God first. They think God is a million miles away, while hospital and doctors are nearer, whereas God is closer to you, right at your doorsteps knocking! "Woe unto them that make flesh their trust. Put not your trust in men. the Lord will hear thee in the day of trouble, if you will trust and cry to him" (Ps.20). The provision of God against every disease or plague is plenty and faithful to the believer (Ps.91, Mk.16:16-18).
The situations where medicine has helped occur when the devils simply pour toxins into the blood of men and flee. Then antitoxins will gradually eat away those toxins. But in such desperate cases when the spirits stood by, being determined to take the innocent soul away that day, antitoxins will fail, because those devils will stand by to counteract every step of the doctors' drugs. When the doctors pour in antitoxins, the devils will simply pour in more toxins until the doctors give up. The only solution, then, is for another spirit personality to appear to those devils and send them away, and only Jesus does that for men. "Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." "All power in heaven and on earth is given unto me." "He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved, he that believeth not shall be damned." "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
Jesus is not miles away from those who have accepted him as their Lord and Savior. The Bible said: "I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord."
If you find yourself in such an emergency situation, like convulsions or a stroke happening to someone near you, and you remember the hospital before you remember Jesus, you stand the chance of losing. But if you remember to call on Jesus first before you remember the hospital, you will be a winner. If you will only call Jesus immediately and remember the Bible verse that said: "Ye shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord" (Ps.118:17) and pray using such verses, you can prevent a sudden death.
I was called along with other brethren to such an emergency case when a neighbor's son was in convulsions. Many were crying; some held the boy's mouth while some brethren were praying. I pleaded the blood of Jesus and studied the situation. Then the Lord gave me quick understanding that convulsion simply means an evil spirit wants to force the soul of the victim out of the body, to take him prisoner. It will only take a stronger authority to rebuke the evil spirit, saying that it should leave the victim alone. And the name of Jesus is the stronger authority! So, I went near and laid my hand on the boy and commanded, "In the name of Jesus, let the soul of this boy remain in him," twice. The boy recovered. Power to heal and to deliver is in that name of Jesus. Every knee shall bow to that name, "Jesus", both in heaven and on earth. Amen!
I gave that testimony in a Christian fellowship, and about three weeks later when I went again to the same fellowship, their pastor gave this testimony in my presence. He said, after he listened to my testimony of the convulsion case, that he got the understanding that the soul was being robbed from innocent people in convulsions. A week later, he was coming with some of his church members from a night prayer meeting and they heard a loud scream from the house of one of their friends at midnight. He said they decided to go to the house because they felt the man could not have been fighting his wife at that hour and that something must be wrong. So they all rushed down to the house and found the mother-in-law convulsing on her bed. The family was struggling to keep the woman from giving up the ghost.
This pastor said that the Lord quickly reminded him of what he had learnt from Brother Julius's testimony, and he immediately asked Jesus to restore the soul of the woman to her. He commanded in Jesus' name that her soul must not be taken away; the woman recovered!
Lo, Jesus is round about Christians! The Bible even said: "Christ has abolished death!" (2 Tim. 1:10). But it takes your faith and understanding to resist all the death that has been taking place even among Christians. "As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people, from henceforth, even for ever," (Ps.125:2). When the slave trade was abolished in the world, some slave masters were still stubbornly keeping their slaves; that is what is going on right now concerning death. Christ has abolished death! The slaves must revolt! There is liberty in the Lord Jesus Christ!
When you think of the case where those witch-birds carried away that innocent soul, you will ask the question "Where were they carrying her?" You may now understand that all the deaths taking place in the world are not caused by God's angels. Hell is a prisonyard where those devils lock up and torture their victims that are not delivered from their hand like that, by an angel of God. If a Christian died by such an attack of sickness, God never sent the sickness in the first place. It is still those devils who started every sickness. If there is no man available to intercede and use the faith of God to stop the death, then when the beliver dies, the angels appear immediately and the devil can not touch the christian soul. The angels will therefore take the believer's soul to paradise, to rest for a while, till the order is changed on the earth, when the ressurrection shall take place. In the initial plan of God, death was not meant for man, whom he created in his image.
If you think it is God that locks up the sinner-souls in hell, then consider it would not have been necessary for Jesus to go down there like he did to wage war against the powers of hell. Because he said, "I have the keys of hell and of death." (Rev.1:18). He also said, "The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church!" In the real fact, it is the devil that locks up souls in hell (Isa.14:17). The lake of fire is the place God planned to cast the devil and his devilish angels, plus those that accept not this gospel of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. (Read also Eph.4:8 - "When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive.")
Therefore, friend, will you not fear God, keep his commandments, and accept this free salvation from the Lord Jesus Christ, if you have not done so already? And grow in faith and power through his name, to be able to stand steadfast and find help in the time of need, from the Lord Jesus Christ who loved you and shed his blood just to purchase this liberty and immortality for you! Jesus loves you!
A question that might come to mind is: How then are the angels watching over us as christians?" Sure! If they are not by our side, our fates, most of the time, will have been just like those of the unbelievers. Most of the brethren in my fellowship gave testimonies of great relief from frequent sickness since they were born again.
Some of the brethren, perhaps, who were regular customers at hospitals testified that since they become born again, the hospitals see them no more, except when they go to pray for someone else. It is the fear of the name of Jesus, which you begin to call regularly, and the angel by your side that keeps the devils away from you. However, for great deliverance to be wrought personally for us, our faith and specific requests is what moves the Lord to command the angels to act in a special way for us, without which they are not allowed to strike. Remember, Angel Gabriel told Daniel that he was delayed by a prince of Persia (an evil spirit, Dan.10:12-13) when coming to Daniel. Yet Gabriel said he was going back to fight that prince of Persia (Dan.10:20).
Though the angel had greater power to knock down the evil prince at a blow, he was not allowed by God's ordinance to do that until Daniel's prayer reached a certain point; then Michael came down. But now Gabriel had received a go-ahead to fight back, on his return journey; that was why he said he was going to fight that prince of Persia. (He must have felt humiliated when he was delayed.) God's law is for the whole visible and invisible universe to obey.
