CHAPTER 3
THE MASQUERADERS
ATTACKED !
Behold we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, therefore take unto yourself the whole armor of God !
One of the armors of God and the only offensive weapon of them all is the word of God. Every other armor is for defence: the shield of faith, helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, and a girdle of truth. Finally, the word God is the sword of the spirit (Eph. 6:11-17). From this testimony you will be able to realize and understand what it means to have the word of God and how to use it as the sword the spirit. When you get this understanding , you also go ahead and use it. You are more than conqueror through he that loves you, and he has given you power. Jesus Christ said, "Behold I give unto you power, to tred upon serpents and scorpions, and over all power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Lk.10:19)
Behold, these are things that are usually spoken at upper rooms, in the quiet chambers- to them that wanted to learn more and to them that wanted the strong meat of the Word of God. These are things that are spoken in the ear, things that are not often written down or explained, because the scientific mind would shudder at them and science could never find it out: that human beings could turn into birds and go .to perform evil operations.
But God knoweth all that is going on in the spiritual world, so God is not mocked. And we should not be babes in Christ continually. We should know that these things are reality and know the weapons that we have, for you are more powerful than them, in Jesus name. Jesus said, "Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." He also said, "Fear not, I am the first and the last." Doesn't that make you happy? Fear not! Jesus Christ is the first and the last. He is the creator of all power.
Although God had not gotten the opportunity until this age of the "manchild" to give much power unto men, individual prophets, all through the ages, have walked with God to the height of overcoming those forces of darkness. But it had been one person here, one there. We know of Prophet Elijah that finally went away in the chariot of fire, of Enoch, and of many other prophets in Israel. However, at this end of the age, God has purposed an eternal purpose to raise up the first fruits and make them understand what goes on in the spiritual world. They then will be able to cry unto the Lord for power to overcome all those wicknesses, and God will give it and build them up as His own prophets. He'll make them wiser than their adversaries so that even Satan, the Dragon, cannot stand before these Sons of God: "for a fire goeth before them, and behind them a flame burneth"(Joel 2:3). And the Bible said: "They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of their Testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death" (Rev.12:11). They overcame death in the end! Praise ye the Lord! Yea, the manchild shall rule the spirtual world, too.
The next episode happened the same night that we started the Bible study, after the incident of the cobweb, which I spoke about previously. I was in a vision at about 2:00 or 3:00 A.M. I saw four masqueraders. They covered their faces with veils and they where holding a rod each, as if to say they where flogging people on the road (similar to when some towns in Nigeria have egungun festivals). I was about to pass by when one of them came near to me, wanting to flog me with his rod. I snatched the rod from the masquerader and whipped him on his exposed legs. He fled to meet the other masqueraders, and I thought they were all going to mob me now, so I fled toward home in that vision. Then I woke up.
As I was waking up, it was as if somebody had entered my room, waiting for me to rise from bed, but the doors and windows were locked. As I rose up from bed, someone suddenly appeared, flogged me on the forehead with a rod, and disappeared. I was feeling pain at the spot many minutes after, but I laid my hands upon the spot and rememberd the words of Jesus, who said, "If they lay their hands upon the sick, they shall recover." So I commanded the pain to depart and rebuked the devil in Jesus' name. It was exactly the spot on my forehead that I said I tore the cobeweb with earlier on in the evening that the devil had flogged. That was more than a mere rod; because it felt like a gathering of insects on that spot, which could have eaten a human being away like a cancer, but in the name of Jesus, I simply commanded those demonic hosts to depart, and it was so.
Believer, there is power and authority in that name of Jesus, if you will only trust in Him and use His name.It works faster than any medicine!
